SU HIF38 for a 413

is a HIF 38 suitable for fitting onto a 413 egine or are these just for the 410.

hif 44 for 413   is the one i gave you a hif 38  :shock:  shouldnt be i am sure its a 44
H Reg (SU) Sami. 410 t case Rascal lift with rears up front, Snorkel & Breathers , Disks all round, roll cage & harnesses, 31" muds & HARIBO paint job (thats what happens when you let your boys 4&7 loose with the paint)

If it were the older su the jet size is the same for the 850 as the 1275 engine it probably came off, although if you have a HIF 38 it is probably from a 1litre a+ series metro rather than a 1275 a+ the size difference can be measured as the diameter across the venturi or inlet to the manifold.
You obviously need a modified inlet as these carbs are side draft as opposed to the sj's down draft carb.  A early fiesta twin choke webber carb can aso be modified for the sj being already a down draft carb, also for the 1 litre sj motorcycle kehin carbs are really good if you want it to rev.

Measure it on the manifold side since the intake side is larger.

The HIF38 was used on 998cc Metros as previously said, and also on the lower spec 1990's Minis (not Coopers).

You would be better using an HIF44 on your 413.
