evening all i have a problem ...... :(bloodshot):  i bouht a safari snorkal second hand from a auto jumble on the weekend and have looked at fitting it .... :(bigangry): does anyone have or know where i can get a template for the wing as i know that i will louse it up if i try to go it alone. i think its for a 300TDI and the p/n is SS HF 300 made by luxons  many thanks

I have a template for a 300tdi with abs. I could make a copy of it and post it to you if you like.

Me making this offer now makes me think hard on where on earth I have put it! :roll:  If anyone else offeres in the mean time ........... :lol:

Isn't yours a 200tdi though?  IIRC the fitting is different.

That s/n rings a bell, sure it's the same as the one off my snorkel, which is a 200tdi model. When I get round to fitting mine I can send the template on to you if you want (I'll check the s/n on the snorkel tomorrow just to be sure it's the same one...)

They are different.

The 200tdi uses a D shaped hole which passes through the wing and plumbs directly into the airbox using the original hole in the inner wing.

The 300tdi uses a circular hole and the inner wing needs to be cut (Pig) for the pipe to pass through. Mine has ABS and I had to slacken the wiring loom to fit. Safari say 2 hours - Horlicks!!

They look the same on the outside. I have a 300tdi template which you could borrow if you like.
