New covers on old seats
« on: June 16, 2007, 14:32:37 »
Looking for advice about putting some seat covers, front,(original covering not over covers)from an '89 4door RRC onto earlier 2 door seats with inertiabelts on frame.Willthe back panels(from 4 door) fit on the frame?I know i'll have to make holes for tilt levers and belts where they come out the top and the head rest is different.
Would it be easier to fit the inseat older belts onto the later frame?i mean does the later frame have mountings for belts and could a tilt mechanism be fitted?
Thanks,I've tried to explain it the best  i can!
pic. of 4 door seats.
will 4door seats fit on the 2door bases?
Thanks.

Don't know the answer to that one but a set of 4 doors seats will cost you the fuel to fetch them, so if you have a spare 2 door seat you might as well try, there is no such word as can't.
