Mine fits in the gutter and you drill down through the gutter, with the door open

Don't you guys find that it illuminates the bonnet? I found the glare from the bonnet outweighed any lighting advantage.

I took it off and built my own which sits further back on the roof. That way, a shadow is thrown on the bonnet and the lights do what they are meant for.

It's just a piece of steel tube with sheet brackets for the ends and lamps. The little lamps are a Wipac product. They may be small but they kick out some light and avoid too much frontal area..... a 110 is like a breeze block before you start adding bits   The main advantage of these lamps have side mounts. So you can chuck the brackets that come with them and just use plates either side welded to the bar. And because they are light (weight!) the sheet can be something like 18swg. Nothing too substantial.

Obviously, you have to drill the roof if you do it the same way as I did.

The trouble with the gutter mount ones you can buy, is that they cannot be set back. You have to fit them in front of the roof.

I made mine from a piece of electrical conduit found in a skip at work it had two bends in it going in opposite ways so I cut the pipe in the middle shortened it to the width of the gutters and welded it back together then added four brakets for the lights and four L brakets with self tapers to hook under the gutters it's been on for 2 years now with no problems apart from smashing one of the lights at the mayday mudfest
so many hills , so little time ....
