Door locks

When i unlock the drivers door the central locking clicks but you can only open the drivers door ie:- you  have to open the other doors from the inside. Is this a central locking actuator problem or could it be a case of the springs and lubrication required, also am i right in thinking that if you can't open from outside when unlocked it's a MOT failure?,sorry about all the questions regards Andy.

You'll probably find it's the little round spring that drives the lock release mechanism... do a search for Discovery & door lock on fleas bay and you'll find a couple of guys who sell sets of springs.
