Hi all, never posted in this section before so bare with me.
An acquaintance bought a V8 4Ltr Manual Rangie on an M plate, about 1995 i believe?
Bought it from a so called friend. Soon discovered that it was over heating badly. Came to my mates workshop for diagnosis.
Lots of milky cream in the cam covers etc which was diagnosed as possibly a head gasket gone.
Stripped the heads down to find the set up was almost brand new as if it had been done very recently. Suffice to say no fault could be found with the heads etc.
Would i be correct in assuming that the next step would be to get the block pressure tested and go form there.
Or should the owner be looking to source a replacement engine, i understand the 4Ltr ones are rather hard to find :?:
Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
