Truck cab to hard top
« on: July 17, 2007, 13:02:44 »
Hi guys,

How easy/difficult is it to make a truck cab 90 a hardtop?

Also, do the alpine lights and sunroofs on County spec 90s tend to leak - as in would just a plain hardtop be better?

Seen a couple of relatively nice 90 truck cabs for do-able prices - got me thinking!

One more question - is a 300Tdi 90 with a Disco trabsfer box gonna be a tad on the slow side?

Cheers,

I stripped a couple of 110's. A hardtop and a CSW the Hardtop was a piece of p*ss to strip off, undo bolts over windscreen, remove rear door, undo bolts holding hardtop to body tub. Get a couple of friends to give you a lift (3 of you will do but 4 is better). and the jobs a good un

Easy to swop between the two body styles.

A 300TDi 90 with Disco transfer-box is an excelent conversion and one that I have been driving for nearly 3-years now. Motorways, commuting, towing, hills etc, I haven't found a condition where it isn't better than the standard set-up however as I am sure someone will now say thay had it and didn't like it so I recomend having a drive in a vehicle first as that is the only was  to tell if it will suit you.
ONE LIFE, GET IT!
