My beautiful Vitara (blue hard top, 3.5" spring, 3" body, 31" BFG MTs) and its spares pool (white auto, bit of a state but mostly solid) might have to go.
This is because with my broken wrist of last year I cannot practically:
1) Drive a manual.
2) Swap the gearboxes of the above Vits as intended.
A kind gentleman from here has offered to help with the gearbox swap but he's just too busy for it to work.
There are two options:
- Either one of you kind gents spares me a weekend and helps me swap the gearboxes (and ancilliaries, pedal box etc). There are possibilities of favours in kind or raiding the white Vitara spares pool in return for this favour.
- Or they're up for sale :( I'm thinking £1200 for them both and all the bits in the garage (bull bar etc). They are both SORN at the moment so would need to be trailered or otherwise made legal.
If they go I'll find a suitable replacement with an auto box already fitted so I'm definitely not leaving the hobby. Just temporarily out of it (in the second best season) until one of the above happens.
