Modding a defender snorkel
« on: July 19, 2007, 16:27:11 »
How easy is it to mod this to fit a Disco:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SNORKEL-KIT-FOR-DEFENDER-200TDI-TURBO-DIESEL_W0QQitemZ330147299839QQihZ014QQcategoryZ31348QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

If you were to make a hole in the wing and then use some of this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Snorkel-Raised-Air-Intake-Flexi-Hose-2-1-2-1metre_W0QQitemZ110143276287QQihZ001QQcategoryZ31348QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

then do you think it could be done :?:

Easy job or a lot of modding and waste :?:

Anyone done it :?:

If you brought 1 of these it would be much easier. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110145357566&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RCRX_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=110143276287&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget

so one of them above, some of that flexi pipe and then the defender snorkel and your on your way  :?:

hmm, much cheaper and back within my budget  :P

its just the bits on show that need to look good      under the wing bits can be jubileed+ sealed with filler, held on with tie wraps  and bodged like a proper workman would.......lol
