Sump sealant!
«

Hey all,
Need to finish my engine so need to fit the new sump on. What sealant is used to seal the sump to the engine? I presume it needs to be able to cope with pressure? What stuff do i need and where can i get it?
Kind Regards
Sam

No problem, saves time searching for the right stuff, but it worked for me just make sure surfaces are clean and dry.

as Mutz says, just use rtv sealer.there shouldnt be any pressure there(maybe a little crankcase pressure).Make sure you get both the sump and bottom of engine clean and free of oil and traces of old sealer.
