Down loaded the new ICQ update to day, now my addess list has disappeared.

Why dosn't the postings on the forum list the ICQ icon on each one anymore :?:

The main reason is that it was slowing the page loading of the forums dramtically.

Every time your browser tried to display an ICQ icon, it would wander off to check your online status with the ICQ server.   This server is not the most expeditious device in the world.

When there are 6 or 7 different people in a topic, all with ICQ, this was adding a lot of time to get the pages to load.

On one particular day, when the ICQ server was especially bad, the page was taking around 35 seconds to load... take out the ICQ and it dropped to 3.

Sorry for the inconvenience, we will continue to monitor things and see if we can't get it back in the future.

Yes, it's different... the messenger icon doesn't actually query your online status, only that you have a messenger account and are happy to share it :-)
