Just a thought, have you been cut up or pulled out on in the last few months. Who was it by?
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

I had one at lunch time, saw him nosing out and started to slow, knew he saw me then he pulled out with about a foot to spare and I had to break hard enought o get an ABS warning at which point he got main horns and airhorns making the entire centre of Hamble look at him

Didnt even register

Just a thought, but how many can you vote for? living down south and occasionally having to drive into london you get all of the drivers above pulling out, or cutting you up plus cabbies doing U-turns without signalling and london transport bus drivers seem to think you are fair game to have a go at pulling out on you

Cheers

Loads of people pull out, but the older ones tend to then drive really slowly in front of you so you remember them more IMO :)

This time of year usually brings a lot of City folk out to the countryside. They are used to driving at 30 mph and sometimes even 40 mph. They pull out with sometimes less than 30 yards between the 2 vehicles and have a fright.
Yes I am doing 60 mph

luckily ive a car that is faster than your average rep car so they arent a problem but i get cut up mostly at roundabouts and lights, and they are by knobheads who drive jags who think cos they look more expensive they have the right to do as they please...

but on the motorways yeh the old folk tend to forget the rule about letting enough gap between the car thats being overtaken and when u can pull back in...

also what i find dangerous on the motorways are those doing 50mph max making trucks overtake and holding everyone up, and its the ones driving new cars (i can understand old cars or towing but no!

i would agree with the above, when driving hgvs and overtaking someone doing 50, they slightly accelerate, do they realise that most hgvs are limited to 56 mph or som are at 52....

also someone of a senior age pulled out on me when i was riding home from the depot today, had my bike at a steady speed, headlight on and all that good news, they waited till i was within 50 yds and pulled out, hence big skid, lots of horn and swearing and they were like "WHAT"...  i saw red as they continued down the national road at 35mph....  double whites meant i was stuck for a few miles....

ah you've reminded me

the nitwits (ive made it nice here cos i could use a ruder word) do some speed on the motorway but you want to overtake...

the minute you do they dont like it and speed up!

Fit young blonde lass in a MGF in Tesco car park this afternoon - I was in the 110, and by all accounts should have just driven straight over her car, but she smiled at me, and said sorry..........I just grinned back

I had an old duffer in front of me getting onto the M1 on tuesday! All was going well on the slip road until he didnt get above 40MPH!!!

Then He thought he couldnt get out onto the first lane of the M1 so stopped in the hashed area on the slip road! I was in a van and had lorries flying up both sides of me inches away whilst he sat there for a min waiting for a gap!

I havent bricked it so much in ages!

We tend to see a mixture of boy-racer/chavs & the 'older generation' brought in as RTI's

One lot through excessive speed & inexperience, the other from slower reactions & (possibly???) poorer eye-sight - so they misjudge speed/distance

Just a quick one reguaeding hgv's  yea we are limited, yes we have differant road laws to car drivers. and at the end of the day it was car drivers that complained to the goverment that trucks were traviling to fast. So we got limiters and slower speed limits. So Now you are stuck behind us.

After 2 weeks of being *VERY ANNOYED* at the tourists in North Wales - I'm ready for a motorway again!!!

Why the hell is the average speed on the A5 35mph? And that's without caravans etc. I manage to pass the vans etc and then get stuck behind an 07 sports car .... tootling .... at 35mph ... ARGH!!!!

I've been cut-up, almost pushed into another lane and annoyed - and ALL by tourists of the older persausion. It's SOOOOO frustrating :)

One nice thing tho - hit a straight, pull out, floor it and give them 6000rpm of supercharged V8 in their ear (as they ALWAYS have the window open for some reason)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Took 10 cars on one straight - was heaven - they were all stuck behind 2 transits - saw the road ahead - knew could easily take them all ... got some beeps and flashes as we rocketed past at <ooops>mph - along a CLEAR lane (could see at least 1 mile ahead). they couldn't see as they were all nose to tail behind the vans!

It's the same every year. You get people from the city that usually drive about their daily life at 30 mph. They come out here and they get scared because they don't normally drive at 60 mph.
One good thing - it only lasts a couple of months and then you can buzz about at 70 for the other 10 months 8-[

I was driving through a town in a bright red tranist van and a box trailer also in bright red. I was going along side some parked cars and a mum with 3 kids in the car didnt look right at all and pulled out in front of me. The look on her face as I stopped inches from her bumper. the person behind her didnt look either as he pulled out behind her accross the road. she staled it whilst trying to reverse back into the road. Luckily I had a gut feelingshe was going to pull out so slowed to 20mph. My 8 passengers all shouted at her as we went passed

Surely a bright red transit van and bright red box trailer isnt too hard to miss even over the top of parked cars?

..and its true:

Scarey thing is that my wife's grand-father said exactly the same thing to her dad ... that was about 50 years ago and it was true then as well.

There should be some part of the Road Traffic Act which bans them & would allow the polis to pull them over.

"Excuse me sir but you appear to have violated section 177 of the road traffic act by wearing that flat cap."

...also helmets, how many times has that bloomin motor bike nearly taken a wing mirror off when overtaking on a bend, over a blind summit at around 150mph?!!
