Mot time agian DOh it failed on a few things one was seatbelt mounts corroded now here s a pic of the part thats corroded it seems to be just this part, can you buy this piece of wing so i can cut this out and weld a new one on or will it be easy to try to make it ???? Any ideas anyone ??

Thats not a pritty example. In the past I've just made it up out of small pieces of sheet bent to fit, not sure if their is a repair section for their.


The other place to go near there is the arear directly around the seatbelt bolt because the bracing plate which the nut is fixed to acts as a water/rust trap. Intreagingly though on one of my range rovers the pictured area is fine and area round bolt needed welding but on the other it was vice versa :?


Get cutting rust out and see how big the gaps are once your back to good useable metal.

Yep just replaced the seatbelt bracing plate on other side and rest of arch fine on other side  :?

Thanks for the advice think thats what ill have to do cheers!!

you can buy them sections, seen my mate putting them in, if you get stuck ask and i will ask him how much theyare, or were they are from.

The panel (and repair panel) end about an inch beyond the rear corner wing, so you need to unbolt the wing and ease it away.  The panle goes down to the sill and joins under the door seal rubber.
