A work colleague has a series 3 light weight direct from the MOD.
Body wise it is immaculate, there is no rust it is covered underneath with wax oil. It has a gimpy mount on the back and cam net mount on the front, with side fuel can mounts. All original.

It is low mileage(30,000 ish) as it was used by the REME for training, engine removal.

Now the bad part it has no engine or paperwork, but has its chassis plates ect.

He is moving house in the next couple of month and is not sure if he will have room for it. So he might have to sell it.

Anyone know what it might be worth? Or anyone that might want it?

Cheers

I'd be interested in it.  Not sure how much it's worth though as it would need it's history chasing up before even trying to register it, then an engine, doors and other bits.

Let me know if he decides roughly how much.

I've been looking around for a spares/repair Lightweight to buy just for the body, most road worthy examples with tax and MoT seem to be going for £2500 - £3000, the highest I've seen being £4000.

Obviously having no engine and missing a few other parts he's not going to be looking at that sort of money, theres a few on Eblag just now at £300-500 though details on these are vague to say the least.

I reckon that taking into account what needs to be sourced to get this one on the road (a 24v 2.25 petrol engine from WSV is currently advertised at 750 + VAT) IN MY OPINION he would be looking at about £800-£1000 if he was lucky.  I'm not an expert though and I amy be way off.

Thats certainly more than I would be looking to pay to just use the body.
