i've been in iains landy.. the lights work well :) another option would be cold cathode tubes... the kind of thing you get in some computer cases. obviously, they run off a 12v supply, so wiring the inverter into a vehicle would be easy stuff.im gonna do something with ours when i can be bothered. it doesnt even have an interior light anymore at the moment ;)

I have two in the boot of the Audi and they last a year at most and need to be changed. Havent worked out exactly why just yet, I suspect its just poor build qulaity.Just paid £4 for 50 Hyperbright white LEDs for a project so I may use the leftovers for something similar.
