warm them up with a hair dryer, that helps quite a bit, but dont get the ally too hot or it goes all ripply!

lots of gentle cutting to reduce into manageable size section, heat gun/blow torch to soften and peel the plastic bit off, lots of scotchbrite and meths to remove the glue, rear door and tub side took almost 2 hours...I painted over the rest and will remove with a belt sander if I ever feel the need!

As to amount of paint, no idea, I used almost two 750ml cans of Crown solo gloss if that helps.
