Mud club was an accidental find for me but what a place. A wonderfull space to gain insight and also express some of the random stuff swimming round my brain.

Not only that but it is a community that seems on the whole to be well informed friendly fun and polite.  :D

i was pointed over here by a friend (bob696) and have found this forum a lot more friendly and open than some others (i got slated by another forum for saying that last time!), along with the regional meetings which are a great way to meet people who share common interests.
the tech sections are very good and there is always somebody who seems to know the answer.
keep up the good work guys  :)

Fun
Friendship
Common interest in all things muddy
Taking the Micheal for a laugh
Getting away from the telly when wife and kids are watching all those drama thingies like East Enders Euck
Sharing advice when yer get stuck with a weldy thing or electricy thingy etc.
Meeting up to have fun getting dirty :!:
Helping others in times of need life experiences.
Telling jokes.
Letting off steam when you've had a bad day on the M25 etc.
Giving assistance to those in need.
Club meets.

What it doesn't mean to ME
Is winding folk up for the sake of it.
Being Self opinionated without having care or consideration for others.
Having to be right all the time and when someone doesn't share or respect ones views to personally slag them off in a public forum.
Rather than throw your tuppence worth in to the hat for others to make up their mind on the value of it's content, for them then to regard or disregard it at their own discretion without voicing their opposition.

When things are personally posted which cause offence by insults towards ones friends, colleagues and countrymen then these matters should be removed immediately and perpetrators shown the door. Saves folk like me taking it personally on the nose.  :)

If I had a problem with a garage sales man I wouldn't post on here that garage sales men were  incompetent people I'd deal with the garage. Garage salesmen are wonderful I could have used problem with plumber ,builder, bricklayer baker Supermarket employee etc.

I'd maybe post that I had a bad day and was annoyed by guy who sold me his car.

That's across the board but again only my opinion as a human being who is the member of this fine club.

Not looking for a slaging match

In todays lifestyle where its every man for himself (or herself to correct) mud club and its members are always there to help.

Advice, thought and and how many of us have been at the side of the road when a fellow member stops to help?

or

Been asking advice on the forum when someone pops over for a brew and to get the problem fixed?

Keep up the good work.

If it wasn't for Thrasher being so friendly I wouln't be here. I was laying under Piglet   (He was parked at the time)

To me it's a community, a place to make new friends and to share our enjoyment/love of all things 4x4, but also to jabber on about random things without worrying about being shouted at for being off topic (that is assuming you post in the right place!!!)

Fun

Friendly

oh and ... Free :)

To me its a great place to meet up new friends and old alike it was Thrasher that introduced me to the club couple of years ago now as i first met him at a northants d.o.c meet and ive spent many hours drooling over piglets place lol when my disco grows up he wants to be just like him

Since ive been a member ive met many a great like minded person, everyone is always helpful no matter what time of the day/nite it is theres someone on the forum to answer the silly posts i put up lol

The Events organised are always BRILLIANT with everyone mucking in help others and give advise only recently have i had big rich and frankieboy around the house drinking tea helping to sort out my landys lol anyone else welcome ;)

The Local Monthly meet is a good chance to catch up with each other and be sociable for the evening plus i like to see the car park full of the landys each one with its own little battle scars apart from that shiny black rangie hehe and of course again i can always ask for more help there too lol

But more than anything the mudclub is something i can share with my family and friends  :D

"If you have a problem and nobody can help, if you can find it, you can use the M.U.D.....C.L.U.B (you just have to imagine the A-Team music!)".

No seriously, I think that this is probably one of the best forums around. In an age where people would rather p**s on you, than help, its nice to know that there is a place where people will try their best to help out a fellow human, be it with technical or general help and advice. This isn’t a money making site, neither are people employed to run it, it is here because people want to help other people without reward or praise.

If after a hard day at work, you can be guaranteed that something on here will raise a smile!

Long live mud club!

If we ran the world, wouldn’t it be a much better place!!!!!

Mud-club? Somewhere where I can meet like minded people interested in all sorts of things with the common link of 4x4s.

As an E-mail list admin in the Land-Rover world I like to read about other vehicles and interests, without having to watch my P's and Q's too closely. DNT I knew through that world before they started M-C, and it's their efforts, and pockets, that have supported 'us' the users, and to them deserved thanks, along with all those who have take reps and moderators roles to lighten some of their load.

Niel, M/C most days when time permits, the 'pub' everyday because thats what I commited to.

Sometimes, you really do worry me LSP

As for MC, I've made new friends and re-discovered a few old ones by coincidence (LSP!) Like all forums, it has it's moments as demonstrated very recently, but overall it's a friendly place that's a pleasure to be part of.

There are a few who put in huge effort to keep it going and we owe them a lot. IMHO, keeping it all fun and friendly is the best way we can pay them back for their efforts.

I'm glad I wasn't drinking a cup of tea when I read that...

Having a quick look around the forums earlier reminded me what a wealth of knowledge and experience there is here, and how willingly (and quickly!) people will help others.

The idea of having a club run by the members, for the members, seems to work a treat.

I havent been a user for long but the wealth of knowledge on tap is excellent and ive sorted probs with my rrc that without mudclub would never have sussed on my own, and hopefully when the fourtrak is 100% ill see you at some p+p days.

seems a lot friendlier and more family orientated than others too.

Many thanks for all the help and im only too happy to lend a hand where i can (discounted car hire? airport parking at LHR?)
