Mentals on sports bikes

Just seen the aftermath of a nutter on a 1000 carry too much speed on a tight country lane and go head first into the front of a nice series one. Led to a good v in it's chassis.
Lambert Coverdale.

As slow as possible, as fast as necessary.

You guys really make I larff.....
You question the legality of using a CCTV system on YOUR own vehicle and then go on to gloat over some guy who made a mistake on a high powered bike...Like he really did it on purpose.
I am beginning to see why I will leave the UK soon..The brainwashing of you poor souls is reaching it`s climax........

<shakes>

You really are your own worst enemies....The acadaemics have it correct on this one....

it all comes down to the person in control of the machine at the time. A split second human error of judgement can be catastrophic. I hope the rider was ok, but also hope the driver of the S1 was ok.

I dread this time of year so many souls on the road with out proper training in respect of their motor vehicles, from car drivers, bikers or folks in EG Landrovers cutting corners co's they don't know the width of their own vehicles.

I all leads to the same disasterous consequence I do wish that the country would adopt a safer driving/biking day again and that if every resident of the united Kingdom took 2 minutes on one day of the year to consider every person who has been touched by tradgedy on Britains roads. I do think we may save the lives of at least some poor soul who uses a motor vehicle on the road given 2 wheels or 18 wheels.

I am sure that if everyone drove with quiet dignified respect on that day as a sign of respect the roads would be a better place. I drive artics cars vans and a ZZR1100 so at this moment to all who have been touched by Death on our roads this year my warmes sympathy goes to then all.

I had a wee lad recently went under the wheels of a Landrover. Just a case of inexperience and mis reading the road.

My deepest sympathy to the bikers family and that of the landrover driver and his family.

I have ridden high powered sports bikes for years but managed to leave the loony stuff for the track...more than I can say for some.
As for not wearing the correct protective equipment...just shows the mentality of the rider.
I still ride a YZ426F & would encourage anyone to ride a bike.
However, carrying to much speed into a corner is something few will escape from...ride safely.  8)

For those who think i'm being harsh.

The rider was awake and he admited liability. The landy was not even on the bend and had been on his side of the road prior to being spun 90 deg by the force of the impact.

As has been said befor if you want to leave your brain at home when you go out for a ride don't be too surprised if you go home in a box. This guy was lucky not to be dead, but and i don't say this lightly, he was a retard and had it coming.

Is it politically correct to call someone a retard these days?

Or should we have a long winded discussion over several threads on people behaving in a very silly manner being compared to those poor souls in society who are mentally challenged in normal development.
   :?

Guy is called BUTTS and posts on NCGL.ORG.

It looks like the series is in a bad way, chassis and axle damaged, and driver and passenger are bruised and shook up, but OK.

Rider had a badly broken ankle(lucky to get away with that)

Lets face it, we all do summat daft or get something wrong every now and again, sports bike was to blame, but fortunately this time, no fatalities.
Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!

Having logged onto another forum, I know the owners of the Series 1.

They were very lucky, it was a lovely little motor as well

The Series One is ours as Rolla and BTM say.

It's a frightening sight to see anything coming at you at high speed as happened on Saturday. I know the rider did not intend to do that to himself though, who would?

That we all survived the impact is what matters. Seeing a guy fly past you and continue to tumble 30 yards down the road is not pleasant. He is though very, very lucky.  Whatever else, I'd have been gutted if he had been badly injured.

The Series One is in a bit of a mess, but it put up quite a fight!

A right off without doubt, but I intend to restore it back again asap
