I suppose that comment could go for any of the guests though Dyfed.
Mine (at the time of 'writing' & in no particular order) are
'Thunder Road' Bruce Springsteen; 'Born To Run'
'Boys Of Summer'Don Henley; 'Building The Perfect Beast'
'Peer Ghynt', by Grieg. Such a powerful mixture. Everything from 'Morning' to the dark menacing 'In The Hall Of The Mountain King' is wonderful.
'Top Of TheWorld'DixieChicks; 'Home'
'I'm Still In Love With You'Steve Earle (& The Del McCoury Band); 'The Mountain'
'Ride of The Valkyries'; Richard Wagner; from the 'Valkyrie' opera. Sheer power.
'Jerusalem'William Blake. Dark Satanic Mills?, Yorkshire to a tee.
We had this performed by a Baritone soloist at our wedding, still sends shivers down my back whenever I hear it.
'I Walk The Line'Johnny Cash; 'I Walk the Line' (all about his struggles to keep off the bottle, drugs & 'other ladies' whilst on tour after marrying June Carter)
'In My Life'Beatles; 'Rubber Soul'
'Cherry Blossoms'Tindersticks; 'Tindersticks Live'
(this last choice was a toss-up between Tindersticks & Buddy Holleys ''Oh Boy', I like Holleys sheer exuberance on the track & he's a damn good guitar player)
Over to you......
