Panorama tonight 8.30pm BBC1 "Wasting Police Time"

PC David Copperfield has outed himself just before he ships off to join the Canadian Police.

Turns out he's a Staffs bobby with 4 years in.

I know it will interest a few of our members, I'll certainly be watching with interest as it's close to home shall we say!

I'm taping it & going to watch it in the morning

His 'blog' is a firm favouite of mine & has been for quite a while

I've mentioned it a few times before, such as here for example

Several of the local Officers I speak to at work, have read it & it apparantly gets passed around between the un-enlightened Officers

If you haven't got it, the book is well worth buying, it's very well written, totally cynical & damned amusing

Twisted somewhat for the shock headlines.

The presumption is that he'd resigned before filming it??

I haven't checked the blog today, I wonder what the latest entry & comments are??

Yes, he has, & there's 80 comments

Wonder if there's any Home Office bods commented

Just reading the comments & came across this link

Burton Mail, with an interesting paragraph within it.

'Publisher Monday Books is currently in talks with an award winning writer and comic actor, who cannot be named at this stage, over the possibility of turning Wasting Police Time into a television comedy drama series'[/b]
Can't wait

How about Simon Pegg (revisiting 'Hot Fuzz' from a different angle) as PC Copperfield perhaps??
