I see they have withdrawn their normal site as a mark of respect. I still think we should do something similar at an appropriate time, e.g. during the funeral or the DAY of the funeral.

That's a lovely thought, but I think funeral arrangements will be kept private to ensure no media intrusion. There has already been a request made, but I doubt it will stop all the 'long lenses'

I'l volunteer to park in front of any journalists vans, their intrusion is unwelcome and tasteless.  Does it really sell more papers  .

I think we should show our solidarity by doing something on the forum, how about us all just being here and not posting anything, sort of 2 minutes e-silence.

I think the best thing we can do for the family as a club would be to give them our support, our solidarity, whilst giving them their space.

Friday's funeral arrangements for the children have now been made public:
From Today's Lincolnshire Echo
Quote
The funeral will take place at St Botolph's Church, Boston - better known as Boston Stump - at 1.45pm on Friday.

Around 150 Land Rovers will line Boston's Market Place forming a guard of honour.

Mr Gresham and Ms Bolland say they want the service to be 'a celebration' of the youngsters' lives. In a statement released on behalf of the family Mr Gresham said: "The support we've had from people has been immense, a real tower of strength for us to draw on. We have seen such a massive display of honest, genuine human kindness shown towards us.

"We've had letters that have reached us from people not knowing where we live, and from as far away as France.

"Every single message we get means we know that people care and are thinking of us. No parent ever imagines having to say goodbye to their children and there really are no words to explain how we feel.

"Our children's funerals will be a celebration of their lives and the memories we have of the crazy, fun times we shared with them.

"The loss we feel is beyond words and we thank everyone for their support."

Emergency workers who attended the devastating scene of the crash are among those who will attend the funeral.

Mourners have been asked to wear brightly coloured clothing if they wish to.

Each of the children's favourite pop songs will be played during the service to evoke happier memories.

Police are expecting hundreds of people to line the streets as the 30-vehicle funeral cortege heads into Boston under police escort.

The children will arrive in separate hearses, with Thor being carried in a Land Rover at the head the cortege.

After the ceremony the funeral procession will head to Boston Crematorium, where there will be a private committal for immediate friends and family only.

Inspector Terry Ball from Lincolnshire Police's Boston sector said: "Many people may wish to attend and pay their respects, such is the overwhelming public sorrow and, in truth, it is hard to estimate numbers. The family have specifically asked for people not to use flash photography."

Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet : On Death

Than Almitra spoke, saying, "We would ask now of Death."

      And he said:

You would know the secret of death.

But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?

The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.

If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.

For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.

      In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;

And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.

Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.

Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour.

Is the sheered not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king?

Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?

And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.

And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.

And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.
Janie.

We attended and for anyone that has asked, I have said it was as lovely as such a sad day can be. It was heartbreaking to witness the children being brought into the church, but felt attending was the least we could do to show our support. Brought a small smile to my face though, the way that the sun came out as if they were shining down on us :)
