Ways of using the forum most effectively
« on: September 22, 2007, 09:51:13 »
Some may not have realised that there are some cunning ways to use the forum which may make life quicker and easier.

Tip 1:  On the Forum Index page, there is a button marked "View posts since last visit".  Click on this and it'll show every post in every forum which has changed since you last surfed the forum.  You can Bookmark this link and use it as your entry point into mud-club;  that way, each time you enter the forum you'll only see new posts.  I find this a great way of making sure I don't miss anything, without having to go through every last forum each day.

Tip 2:  At the bottom of every thread is another button saying "Watch this topic for replies".  If there's a thread you're particularly interested in, click the button and you'll be notified if anything is added to it.  Handy if you're not going to be on the forum for a few days, but are dying to know the answer to something.

Any other suggestions from users on how they get the most out of the forum?
