Hi-Lift Bumper Lift
« on: September 26, 2007, 10:22:40 »
Just got a new Hi-Lift jack, has anyone ever used one of the Hi-Lift Bumper lift attachments (link) with standard Discovery Bumpers? Any damage/problems? Trying to decide whether to buy one of these or fit jackmates/HD bumper.

Thanks.

IMHO you are likely to bend a standard bumper.

I bought high lift brackets that fit onto the front bumper mounts. They work fine. I,ve got them spare now as I fitted a winch bumper. I got mine from Rebel 4x4.

Does tree sliders count as jackable sills? One end bolts to the out rigger too.

Be wary of jacking off side sills as it is possible to twist / warp the bodywork.

On soft dash RRC there is a jacking point in the front bumper, surpried it's not on the Disco too.
