Don't get me wrong, I'm a FOO's fan...
But saying it's the best in the charts, is nothing worth bragging about...
There is so much talentless crap out there

 I am not sure if I like it or not.  My own thoughts are that if  Kurt Cobain was still alive, Dave Grohl would still be a very mediocre drummer.

I'll run with the top comment - awesome track.  8)

Interesting comment re. Dave Grohl though - apart from the fact his session work has proven him to be one of the most in-demand single-bass drummers about. Whilst his world-wide popularity is no doubt as a result of the success of Nirvana, I'm not gonna knock the guy because he has talent as both a performer and a writer.

Cheers

As said before, doesn't take much to be the best song in the charts ;) I am quite partial to a bit of the ol' Foo Fighters every now and then mind. And vastly prefer them to Nirvana, one of the most over-rated bands in history IMO. Having said that you wanna hear some of the tripe I listen to ;)

Who cares about his talent, he's nice to look at   in all fairness, I love the Foo's and have all their albums (somewhere) I intend on getting their new one without even hearing the songs, which I think shows how good they are... If I can talk Ste round I'll be going to see them for my birthday in November :) And as for them being famous because Dave was in Nirvana, I don't think thats true at all, I'm only 21 and so don't really know a lot of Nirvana, I became a fan of the Foo's for their music, not who they are associated with :) All time fav has to be Green Day thou, but they not got anything out atm :)

And if you go, you will have to write a review of the gig - for the rest of us that can't make it!  8)

I think Narked has a point too - Nirvana were fabulous (again IMO), but I think they were credited with a lot more than they actually achieved. They spoke to the right generation at the right time, but beyond that - did they do anything new or cutting edge, or did they take an existing formula and make it into something more digestable and marketable? Either way, they did it well. Having said that, it would have been really interesting to see how the band would have developed had things not been cut so sadly short.

Still, Nirvana are gone But not forgotten) and Grohls moved on and I say good on the Foo's for helping to keep old skool rock in the mainstream!  8)

Cheers

I hear what your saying when there isn't much talent in the charts at the mo and most bands nowadays are manufactured.

It wasn't until I started listening to the Foo's that I found about the Nivada link. I wouldn't say if they were still around Dave would be a run of the mill drummer as you can't predict the future so would the Foos of been or not been formed. What I can say though is that he has proved himself to be a fantastic singer/songwriter and a fantasic guatarist. One of the best rock singers of our newer generation IMO

Gutted they're sold out though, have you seen the ticket prices on Ebay

Back to the topic in hand, I love Ian Browns new single "Illegal Attacks" (dunno if it's in the charts yet though). As has been said before - the charts are hardly a barmoeter of quality

Oh yeah, Dave Grohl ROCKS too

 Jesska, Dave Grohl attractive?  When "Nevermind" came out I was a mere child working at Our Price, most of the comments about Mr Grohl's looks involved suggesting that a bag be placed over his head.  And another thing, if Kurt Cobain had not topped himself, no one would have ever heard of the hideous apparation with fake boobs going by the name of "Courtney Love" - and anyway she assasinated him.

This is true :)

But hey, each to our own, you'd probably think Ste is an ugly old man, but I think he's pretty cute
