hi all, will a def 90 sump and fuel tank guard fit my series 3 swb?  Ben
1989 3.5 v8 range rover classic with 3.9 efi system, 6'' lift, +5'' dampers, dislocation cones all round, 12500ib T-Max winch, steering guard, custom made rock sliders, light pod, custom made side exit exhaust, welded front and rear diff guards, full roof rack, 35/12.50R15 BFG Muds, CB Radio, Twin Batteries, Rear ARB Locker :)

no mate different chassis totally!
steering guard might re adjust (bodge) fit possibly.

weld an rsj box around it

use this and it will not damage just weld it to the chassais allow room so tank and be removed. cut the h shape into a c shape and youve got it . could use them as hd cill for the well hard look.

I have to admit that i have never seen a land rover sump get damaged off road, you have the ultimate guard for it called "the front axle"

The series tanks already have a protector plate on the bottom, these are OK for most impacts (have sat mine on it without damage).

it is poss to bend a sump gauard which could have an effect on steering movement.
i was coming out of a clay pit got the one wheel on a sleeper it slip and bent the sump gaurd .
 i was giving it a bit of welly .
my sump gaurd was from rebel 4x4

but i  have seen worst done

I've done mine :twisted: my series 3 trialer has been seriously walloped several times, so this summer i had to take the sump off and beat hell out of it :roll:  :twisted:
