Oh heck!!!
« on: January 07, 2005, 18:30:34 »
We were heading off for a weekend away tonight, but driving home from Tony's work we notice a lot of vibration on the surf... got us home but the rear wheel bearing is on the verge of death!!  Its certainly not up to a 160 mile round trip on the motorway!

So poor old Tony is out in the cold and windy night swapping half an axle off one of the "project" trucks to make do until a new bearing gets here on Monday.

Why didnt it happen yesterday when we had lots of time to fix it??

 :(

Raining here now. Got to get up to Cannock in the morning to get various spare parts. Apparently it's going to snow there!!

Sounds familiar. I've got to try and sort out the PAS pump on my disco in these conditions tomorrow.

I've just been outside piling MTs against my garden gate in some sort of attempt to keep it shut.  No sooner had I got back to bed after going outside and shutting it, then it blew open again.

I'd like to see it blow open with two of them leaning on it.

Can't get back to sleep now.

Well we got there in the end!  "Borrowed" halfshaft definately did the trick - for once I'm pleased we have so many half finished projects about!! :D

New bearing arrived today so that will be going on tomorrow (coz it's p.....g down tonight and the truck with the broken clutch in is in the garage (another story which I wont bore you with)

Funny thing is we got two emails tonight from people wanting to bring their trucks down for Tony to do their bearings!!  Must be cathcing!!

:D
