Fog Lights

I know so many of you hate the things BUT there is a time and a place.

So how many of you guys have seen people in the thick fog of the last few days with no lights on at all. Normally its a silver repmobile tanking along at 90 or this morning. The last car in a stationary traffic queue without even working brake lamps.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Now here is one thing that really gets up my nose and I am glad its not me. THe last few mornings have been foggy and the amount of vehicles without lights on at all is unreal! First thing I do when visibility is slightly poor is reach for the lights. It might not help me see where I am going but at least others can see me

Was on M4 this morning on way to work, in the middle lane as inside lane was for coming off at a junction and I got undertaken by a black Audi A6 that then switched into the fast lane to tailgate some guy before he pulled over and then the A6 sped off. All this was no lights on
Moved over to the dark side - Suzuki's !

Last night I almost parked my rig on top of some muppet.

Picture the scene: small car (focus, I would say) towing a people carrier on an "A" frame. Nothing wrong so far, let's go for the rest of the scenario: 0300, thick fog, and, best of all, no lights on the friggin' towed vehicle.

The complete idiot was doing about 25mph on the M1. By the time I could see the lights on the small car past the "trailer", I was almost on top of him. At least, I know that the ABS on my unit and on the trailer I was pulling works a treat.
