were the GWAC's older?

All of the important G-WAC's - the 86 press fleet ones - were registered on 1st October 1989. There are quite a few of these still around, although some have been butchered for off-roading. At last count, there were a dozen good examples in the hands of Discovery Owners Club members.

you don't use them enough then!!!!

I think they are more a upper arm muscle build up thing. You have to swap sides obviously to build up both arms!!!

Ah !! so that won't help the large flabby belly then.
Maybe I could fashion some sort of clever device that creates a 'total body workout' using the window winder.
Sorry this thread seems to be taking a different tack !!

Mine's an 89 'H' VIN prefix HA cannot put my hands on the V5 ATM

And for the record (having tackled the tin-worm at purchase) has given me 18 months trouble free motoring, and everything fitted in the factory still works, except the sunroofs which I have siliconed shut..

*EDIT* H plate is of course 91 - dodgy maths there. 18/08/91 to be exact (found the V5) VIN HA 4516 which I'm guessing means #4516 in 1991. Only wacky thing it has is RRC hubs rather than the slightly later Defender style ones meaning Boost wheels, for example, won't fit as Paddocks & I found out ;)
H19 MJO - 200 Tdi "Elmo" still and always a "work in progress" ;)
C312 GVX - 110 CSW "Bessie" My latest victim - at last a proper Land Rover

Mine's got no sunroof either, what with the wind up windows must be really rare and worth a packet ?
Plus the added extra of the 'belly bustin' window workout' which now uses just my buttock muscles to open the window !!!!!
