Right, this Jimny vacuum 4x4 system?
« on: October 17, 2007, 17:27:00 »
Is there a kit of parts that eliminate the vacuum system to give direct drive?

I.e. On my mav i have binned the front free wheel hubs in favor of direct flanges off of a newer terrano.

Is there a way of doing a similar thing to a Jimny?

If your in 2wd then the engin isn't driving the front wheels. The wheels will turn the half shafts and therefore the diff, but on the road this shouldnt be a problem so long as you keep the transfer box in 2wd. The 4wd warning light might flash though. I've just ordered manual hubs for mine.
