Or you could even make it easy for people to find it by having something like

Code: [Select]
What your vehicle is in your sig.

which for me would come out as

Heather, the coolest Defender of them all

wolfie, budgie, thrasher.

I have made a vehicle profile but the picture is all funky. Its the classic white square with a red X in it and it just says vehicle image  :?:  :?:

Also in edit vehicle specs it says new spec item and also spec item.
what are these and how do I input them, I take it these are the bullet points that show whats been done etc to your vehicle as with piglets page but I can't fatham out what to do with them

If your photo is showing that then there is something wrong with the link to the photo, try uploading it again and see what happens.

"New Spec Item" is for when you want to put a new modification into your list of vehicle specs to make a new bullet point. Just type in the space provided and click "Store Specs" at the bottom of the page when complete. If you want to change anything, then just click in the area that needs to be changed and put the new data in there.

Iain, I don't think yours is too bad TBH.
You could put the details in you Vehicle Specs and have something like this as your sig' though:  :D

I was having a play with Photoshop this afternoon.

Hi Budgie,
Tried putting the picture on my desktop to change its path but had the same problem, same error. I tried resizing it smaller but again I had the same error :?: :?:

Iain,

I tried and managed to save it to a file, I just right clicked over the image and clicked "save picture as". It's a standard JPG image so you shouldn't have any problems. What error message are you getting?

Also, what size do want it? If you want another photo on there then just post or email it to me and I'll make another. Likewise, if you want a different background colour etc then let me know, it doesn't take long to produce these.

How are you trying to do it then as you say, right click, save phone as..... :?:

I got a pic, placed it on my desktop and then under profile admin>edit main vehicle infomation I click browse, highlight the picture on the desktop and click ok. It takes a while whilst it uploads it and then I get that classic picture can't be displayed jobbie, the white box with the red X in it.

Sorry Gareth, I was getting confused with Iain's post.  #-o
The only thing I can think of is the format of the photo.
Check the format and make sure it's one of these: bmp  dxf  gif  jpeg  jpg  png  tga  tif
If the photo is the full size of your desktop then try shrinking it to around 400 x 300 pixels and see if that helps.

One other thing to bear in mind - keep an eye out for the WIDTH of sigs - if there is a long line of _______, -------- or ~~~~~~~ which stretches on for a while, that will mess up some people's screen displays for any topic you reply to, as it forces the whole topic to suddenly become much W I D E R than normal.   8)

That's what I mean.

Some sigs have everything on every motor listed listed ~ why?  I understand a bit of info but reams and reams of info (about boring stuff too) just makes the forum harder and slower to read.

IMHO.

Having website logo's or pictures of general interest are fine
The original issue was the length of signature's
At the moment, everyone's sig's are a decent length
