Discovery subwoofer

One of teh goodies I bought at Sodbury yesterday was the proper Land Rover Harmann/Kardon subwoofer for the rear door and I'd like to wire it in today.

There's a plug on the sub which is the simple +/- for each speaker, so 4 wires.  Behind the door card on the Disco there is a redundant 6 wire plug which I am hoping is something to do with the sub wiring, howeevr the two do not match.

On the truck the wires are as follows:

1 x black earth
1 x red
2 x thinner black
1 x green/orange
1 x purple/yellow

If this is something to do with the sub wiring, can anyone tell me what to wire to what?  And bear in mind that I am a total numpty with electrics and I don't own a multimeter thingy!

Any help really appreciated, thanks in advance!
