What year ?? If its a early type, i would say quite possible for a weekend warrior type mechanic, I have done quite a few on my early disco, the first time took about 2 1/2 hours, But can now do both sides in about a hour,
I"ts relatively simple, just keep everything in order as you take it off and take ya time, outer bearing cases can be drifted out carefully, so no real need for any special tools,
As a tip clean the old bearing cases and you can use these to refit the new ones without damaging them
If you were much closer i would pop over n instruct you , but being far away and poorly still, no can do im afraid,
sure someone locally would assist you ??
Also reading your thread again, Take some time to see what the problem actually is, I say this because if you have taken up the slack on the bearing and not improved, Is it a bearing problem ??
