Oh BBBBBBB I've just blown my speakers somehow?? so I couldn't hear it.

My favourite Dave Allen bit was when he was talking about teaching his kids to tell the time   This 1st hand, thats the hour hand, the second hand is for minutes, the 3rd hand, thats the seconds

When the second hand is at the three, thats a quarter. At the 6 its a half etc

Sooooo funny

You mean.........

The first hand is the 'Hour hand', the second hand is the 'Minute hand'. The Third hand is the 'Second Hand'

No wonder it's hard to teach kids the time

However, don't get me started about kids (& adults) who can only tell the time from a digital clock/watch, and then not even properly

I had a girlfriend once who wasn't very hot on analogue clocks.  She'd only ever learned on digital.

She also failed her cycling proficiency test, because her bike had back-pedal braking and she'd never used hand-controlled brakes before!

Back pedal brakes rocked. The only way to a truly impressive rear-wheel skid (I went through a few tyres on the back)
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

The thing that still gets to me is that we never got to see Dave Allen as a Bishop, or indeed the Pope, in an episode of 'Father Ted'

Can you imagine him in that house??, fighting with Jack over the last bottle of Whisky??
