Aparently the R8 kicking around Newcastle way belogs to Cheryl Tweedy from Girls Aloud.

So probobly bonus points for spotting that one ;)

That does it, I definitely don't want one.  Ignoring the fact that it's useless as a car, no rear seats, no-where for the dogs, the mountain bike and it can't pull a caravan, if it's going to make you look like a second rate popstar then best avoided

Serioulsy though if I was going to buy a brutally powerful race car with number plates it'd be a GT40.  At least they have proved themselves.

yes they are very pretty there are 3 ive seen round Sheffield....i do have to say that the new Hayabusa is limited to 186....1mph less that the r8, accelerates far more quickly and costs less than 10k compared to 80k ish for an r8....hmmmm so i could have one of those and a bowler into the bargain...no choice really

My mate's put a deposit on one, though he might plump for the GT3 RS,
he's already got a 997, Aston DB6 superlegera and an Aston V8...

Plus a 90, and a fully indy comp motor, and a Fiesta that he goes work in,
so his 'colleagues' don't know what he's got !!!!
He finds it amusing that a lad in his office brags about how fast his scooby is !!! Laughing Laughing

Important message here....Never judge a book by it's cover....

He may laugh, but as you say never judge a book by it's cover!!
Where I worked before my accident there are Scoobys that will see off most of the cars your friend owns, plus a Nissan 350z that made a Ferrari owner look VERY STUPID!! :D And still at a fraction of the price, and the owner had the pleasure of buying all the tasty parts too! 8)
But all that said it's only any good if you can drive it, put most people on a track, either in a car or on a bike and they soon stop shouting how fast their car is.
Land Rover repair guide, Don't fix anything, because if you do something else always breaks, so fix nothing and nothing will break!!!
