Replacing the seats
« on: October 27, 2007, 07:01:11 »
due to a fair bit of offroading my drivers seats is starting to collapse so i am going to go about fitting some bucket seats but not mega stiff ones a nice set of recliners like below
the only problem is i have a 3 door disco and need to get in and out so welding them the the floor isnt an option please can anyone post pics of what they have done
i have been advised that maybe welding a plate to the top and fabricating new runners but its never that simple

all I did when fitting bucket seat to my 3dr disco, was to get a thick shet of ali and bolt the seats to that then bolt it to the original seat mounts.

as above, just fix to the origional seat mountings so they still tip over to get in the back.

This is how I fitted rangie seats to my disco.

The priciple will be the same for just about any seat.

Hope this helps
