Paddocks 200Tdi Rocker Cover Gaskets
« on: November 04, 2007, 15:38:20 »
Has anyone else had any bother with these??

They seem to be alot tighter than the ones i get from me motor factors and not much cop at keeping the oil in the engine either?

First one leaked on the passenger side, Paddocks replaced it FOC but now the replacement one is leaking from the drivers side!

As said before, they seem to be alot tighter than the ones i get from the local motor factors, they kept popping out the alternate side of the one i was pushing into the groove, the motor factors one fitted like a dream and you could see the gasket filling the gap all round.

Just curious as to wether anyone else had had a bother with them?

I had a right swearing session trying to fit one for the 300TDi.  That said the one in the full head kit fitted a treat to my sister's.

Please don't ell me the damn thing is going to leak though

Fitted one a week ago - absolute pig! Really poor fit - about 2 inches too long, but I managed to squash it in.  Doesn't leak though

yeah but its more fun ordering from paddocks...

"well sweatheart i`m ordering this little gasket, so i may aswell order these other bits aswell, theres no extra charge on delivering more than one, so i might aswell get it all now...!"
