If you want the extra articulation that the 2" springs will give, yes you need to replace the shocks -tbh though, any RRC is most likely to have dead shocks by now, and upgrading to gas +2" ones will make a helluva a difference to the handly, compared to having the stock ones on.....
I raised mine 2" recently and because of the old soggy, worn out suspension I haven't really noticed any change in handling at all
You might want to think about 2" extended brake hoses for the front -though I have never heard a definitive answer as to whether they are required for 'just' a 2" lift........ someone on here can probably answer that question....... and I will go get if I need to.... running stock atm, but not been seriously off road since the lift, mores the pity :(
The rear is just about OK, or you can modify the bracket to give the hoses more reach easily.
If this is just to be a cheap play thing get a budget kit of pro-comp shocks and branded springs, if it is to be a longer term project get some better springs -they will last a LOT longer.
Tyres.... well again depends what you want, purely off road or mainly on road? If you want a tyre that will last, then the BF Goodrich M/T will do 60,000+ miles, whereas Colways or other remoulds are cheap, but will probably last not much more than 20,000 road miles..... up to you :)

Brake pipes and articulation depend a lot on the dampers you use, there is not a fixed standard length of dampers that come with lift kits so beware, they could even be standard length.
On my first RRC I offroaded, I just had lift springs with standard length dampers and brake lines and it was fine for greenlaning and pay and plays. So do you
need
new dampers? No.
Time moves on and a different RRC and wanting a much better off road performance, in the end I went for 11" travel dampers (+5) and much longer brake lines. I strongly recommend Llama 4x4 for suspension parts, the customer service is way better than the big accessory shops which vary from average to down right insulting. Another point to remember is that dampers over +2 will need the Bodge SLU removing on the rear to get full travel.
If the vehicle is for off road rather than towing/high speeds, then I would advise against most common lift springs for RRC as a lot of these are HD springs which can be hellishly stiff compared to standard RRC springs. Soft springs are one of the defining features of the RRC off road so why spoil it. For a slight increase in stiffness and a lift of approximately 1.5" then fit green/pink or pink/purple land rover springs on the front and red/white springs on the rear. I'm very pleased with the results these springs being used on mine.
For springs it depends just which ones you want as different places sell different makes, I bought my second set from paddocks online, the price was right and they clearly display the part numbers of what the sell so you can check it is the right part you want, unlike some that keep you guessing.

My V8 has no back box, it was replaced with a few bends to make a side exit and it passed the MOT like that with not even the slightest question about it.
The tester was more concerned that I turn the engine off though because it was (and still is  ) burning a bit of engine oil and smoking the confined test bay out.
To be honest there are so many options and good traders out there that there is not a definitive place or kit to buy.

Many thanks for your advice :)
I was thinking this morning to take the rear box off and re do the bends, i will definatly do that now :)
It will be used on the road also, at the moment it wallows about alot, and i really hate it doing that.
Should i also replace the bushed that hold the Cab to the chasis ?
Or is the wallowing a SHock problem do you think ?

This is the 24 million dollar question, but my two pennorth
Daughter has a tdi RR with Police spec Red/white springs all round, stdd shocks. It has lifted it about 1.5 inches, ride is fine but is considerably stiffer than stock, Polybushes instead of rubber all round also helped. No changes to brake pipes and no probs. She also must live not far from you posts on here didirangerover.
I have a Nissan engined Rangie with OME springs and Pro Comps 2 inch lift, poly bushes again it's fine on ride quality and doesn't roll much. Have lowered the brake pipe mounts but not extra length on the flexibles yet. No probs with greenlaning including Gatescarth pass etc.
My 110 has Britpart + 2 inch springs on front, Bearmach 500 lbs springs on the back megger stiff until I put the Ifor Williams on it then it's superb.
Procomp shocks all round no problems.
Best compromise on a Rangie appears to be red/whites all round with decent extended shocks.

For shockers Brian I'd say buy ProComp if you are on a budget. Plus 2" dampers will fit the back of your car as it stands now, the axle can still reach the bump stops without the damper bottoming out. These will stiffen the ride a little and stop the wallowing somewhat.
The rear brake line is not as big an issue as the fronts becuase it's mounted centraly.
IIRC my springs are Pro-Comp but the Britpart ones are just as good. The Police Spec shouldn't really lift you car but chances are it's not at the correct ride height anymore. Standard cars should be 790mm from floor to wheelarch on stock tyres, most aren't.
If you are keeping it near standard then the Polic Spec or H/D springs are probably your best option and less than half the price of a lifted set.
Remember that if you lift the car you open a whole new can of worms and the priceof the springs and dampers is only about half of the true cost of doing it right.
