Hi all
just thought i'd say that Tesco's are experiencing problems with their fuel ....

they're customer services have confirmed that it's affecting both diesel and petrol ..
and it's a nationwide issue with all Tesco's filling stations invovled

Not your fault buddy :)   I just hope it's nothing to serious, at least the bike doesn't have any catalysts or oxygen sensors to get mucked up 8)

Tescos customers service said they are aware and investigating

they said effected both Diesel and Petrol Nationwide

Interesting, my other halfs subaru has been playing up, error codes report knock sensor. Reset ECU and it runs fine for a while. She's filled up at tescos last 2 times, will stick some Shell V-power through it and see if that cures before messing with knock sensor.

Sounds like a good reason to avoid the evil, moneygrabbing, lying, lawbreaking* organisation for once and for all.  They really are scum.

* documented widespread intentional breaking of planning regs & unlawful dumping of thousands of tonnes of rubble for example

Yeah, but they haven't twigged that their pay at the pump thingy has the wrong price on it ... 100.9 on the other pumps, 98.9 on the pay at the pump one :D

Not true mate, I have done several experiments filling my car & van with Sainsburys Diesel, they both ran rough with uneven tickovers. After filling at local BP a couple of times (normal Diesel) they are both running a lot better.

Depends on the car and how th maps done, if like can be don on some cars you reset the ecu and then let it relearn what ignition advance it can get away with on "better" fuel then you'll get a performance gain if you leave it on the old knock settings then you'll probably loose power. Not all engines can do that but many cn scoobies for instance. Also if it was no better than normal ful how come when they first launched Optimax lots of the Group N boys had their rally cars remapped for it instead of the "rocket fuels" they were using (many still are come to that). There must have ben a power gain over standard or they'd have stayed on "rocket fuel".

Just to throw the cat in amongst the Pidgeons.

Tesco Extra is Esso or BP fuel
Tesco Express is Esso fuel.

Optimax or whatever its called and the esso variant are different smo, put a car thats capable of making use of it and it makes a hell of a difference.

Most 4x4s dont care if its petrol, deisel or puree'ed badger
