I finished up rewiring up with relays for the headlights and a set of spots with heavier wiring. Then using 90watt bulbs, dont need a man with a torch in front of me now

There are some bulbs also if you dont want to go that way, Xenon bulbs are brighter and have lower power consumption than halogen for example

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

200TDi headlamps being useless? Surely not?

I got some of the Ring Xenon ones (you'll need H4 bulbs) from here:

http://autobulbsdirect.co.uk/h4_bulbs.htm

Next day delivery, and they chucked in the sidelight bulbs too.  Seems to have made a great difference.

Don't suppose any one knows where to get a plastic clip that holds the hedlight on from do you?

Broke mine when we moved the lights down a bit.

I done the same on mine, an m5 or m6 nut fits the thread, put a nut on then a penny washer, then mount through hole, then penny washer then a nut on the other side, you can then tighten the two bolts against the bulk head and adjust as needed.

Works well and is cheap!

don't forget that you mustn't dassle anyone else though. depenging on where you are you may have plod that are more likely to pull you for too bright bulbs.  80/100s are a nice compromise, on 80 they look just like modern bright car headlights, then on full beam they are nice and bright.  Bulbs are available in halford for a competitve price too :-)

I just put new bulbs in Philips ones they claim an extra 20mts of light .
They do look brighter but that could be down to cleaning the lenses inside and out . :o

Oh no I've cleaned a bit I'll have to do the whole thing now or it will look daft.
