I take it you have the 300TDi engine (2xkeys?) The inner one drives the timing belt sprocket and the outer one the crankshaft damper. There's a lot of vibration when this sort of thing happens, so I suggest you strip it right out - if only for peace of mind. The 200TDi engine has one key and if you can get all the bits out, then you could just slot a new one in without taking it all apart.As Dan says - you were lucky if it hasn't re-shaped the end of the crank nose.Les.
