No Chance

Sony CD850XM I have in mine is a bit longer than a standard radio and its tight, esp with all the connections on the back. I looked at it and also spotted that none of them would put the screen at a suitable angle.

Might be better off with a stand alone screen someplace.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

you could put a 42"plasma in the pasenger side of the windscreen.
thats better than any 7" jobbie.

I think you could probably only get away with a 21" due the MOT man saying you had an obstruction in the drivers field of view

Stevo, why not get a load of 7" screens and put them on the roof lining to form what looks like a massive scrren that pans over the whole roof lining, of course you'd need better reclining seats for comfort

something like this:

Make a storage space above the sunvisors, I'm planning on doing this and moving my stereo up there, the cb can then live in the ols head unit position.

give me £100 and you can have 2x 8" widescreen sunvisor screens, and the DVD player that goes with em... not a straight swap, as they are the "universal variety" but shouldnt think there would be much hassle in making them work

i've been thinking about htis a bit myself recently.  I'm a geek so I'd like to fit a PC in the beast with a TFT screen on the dash,  my best idea was to mount a second instrument binacle on the dash, with a bit of body filler between the two to make it one long binnacle, I recon it could work....

dodgy 5 minute photoshop mockup:

it would also give some space for extra switches too!!

for now a mixture of mdf and fibreglass frame trimmed in black vinyl, with the face plate ebing abs plastic.  Once I finalise it will be made completely from fibreglass and a carbon fibre face plate with etched labels.
