Usually on the side of a lathe/ milling machine/shaper etc is a 32v light fed from a 415 or 240 volt transformer with a switch on it.
Mine is knackered and i cant see a name or any info on it.

It on a similar line to the last one.
I'll post a picture later so you can see what i'm after.
The reason i need this perticular tipe is that the lamp fitting was modified years ago to accept two 24vdc truck headlight bulbs. Its beams two bright narrow beams of ligt across a machine used to roll the side walls on pressure vessles.
The light beams allows our fabricators to accuratly roll a flat bit of steel into a prefect cylinder.

Are you sure that you have a transformer in the light part? It may well be supplied from the control circuit of the main machine?

And a boat - if you can call QM2 a boat?

If you take the front off there is a 415 to 48 volt transformer mounted on it.

Have you tried RS? they do a transformer based light 24v I think, using halogen bulbs & I'm sure they do a 240v-12v as I have an old transformer from one in the garage for testing bulbs.
