Careful, you'll be thrown in a lake!

I've been putting the wiring in for my new light bar - switch, relay and feed from the battery are in and working, just need the bar to turn up so I can finish the job. Cleared Motorworld out of 27A cable...

Ok, on the original topic I've dug the 3ft artificial tree out of the attic and plugged it in!

Try finding anything better than 27a! Managed to track some down at my local Lucas, sold per metre. Was originally going to take the feed for my spots straight from the battery, but decided to instead make up an auxillary fuse/relay panel, with a single feed off the battery to keep it all tidy. It will all eventually happen, honest!

As for the Christmas lights, don't even start me on that! It won't be long before the gf's dad takes all the fun out of Christmas for everyone by obsessing over the decorations. He practically dismantles the (real) tree, and re-assembles it so that it is, in his eyes, perfect. It's unbelievable, it really is!

I managed to get some beefier stuff from the local agricultural machinery spares place - only snag was they only had it in black so that'll be used for the earth side of the wiring. 27A should be plenty, the lights only draw 18-19A so that's a good safety margin, especially with a 25A fuse in the system.

I have a feed from the battery to the lights, switched by a relay that's activated if you have main beam on and another rocker switch closed (enabling me to switch them off so I don't scorch eyeballs if I flash my lights). I've wired everything except the line from the relay to the spots.
