Push button doors
« on: December 02, 2007, 10:49:48 »
Hi guys on my td5 90 the passenger side door only shuts fully when i lock the door before i close it! ive tried ajusting the catch on the door piller but to no success! Is it best to put a new mechanism in the door? Also it leaks that side in the corner of the footwell just under the door. Is it best to replace the door seal? I wish it had lift handle doors they are alot better, never had any trouble on my old truck! Thanks guys

Yep...it'll be the mechanism goosed.
Defenders just leak...even my mates new one
You can fit early lift up handle type doors to a defender  :D
Did everyone see that?  Because I will NOT be doing it again!

Dont bother changing the doors, or the mechanism, just oil it and work it a bit, its sticking open, hence the bounce.

As for the leak, you can change the seal, it mgith help, but youd do better adjusting the door hinges etc first and making sure its a good fit.

All my defenders leaked, just get used to it!
