Arh you beat me too it

There is an article in the Daily Star today and Sian Berry is quoted as saying that she slammed the decision, and branding the Discovery as "a dirty, oversized brick".

And Lib Dem MP Norman Baker added, "The idea of making a 4x4 the Car of the Year is environmentally irresponsible".

David Morton, editor of What Car? magazine defended it's controversial choice by saying, "Its ability to carry up to seven passengers plus safety and environment features, defied the reputation of 4x4's. He said "In terms of road space per person, a full Land Rover can actually help to keep congestion down. Safety in particular, pedestrian safety is one area in which 4x4's come under attack. But the biggest killer in accidentsinvolving pedestrians is head injuries, and the high bonnets of 4x4's help prevent this. As for the environment , the Discovery TDV6is capable of around 30mpg. Many petrol engined family cars are only a few miles per gallon more economical than that."

And why or where has this label SUV come from  :?:

Still good news for Land Rover  :D

There does seem to be a lot more positive comment being made about 4x4s by people just recently, and a lot more people challenging the anti campaign.

Long may it continue :-)

Still looks like a Double-Cab Pick-Up with a 'Truckman Top'

I saw one at the hospital the other day and it reinforced my opinion upon seeing it unexpectedly
