a 200tdi will slot straight in on the original mounts and gearbox bellhousing - jus t have to move a stud or two.  you need all of the rad and intercooler etc, its often best to buy a cheap rotten disco and take the bits off it .   its very worthwhile

ok , didn't quite make it thru the MOT , the minor stuff i've fixed already (loose swivels and repeater indicators not workin) but the thing i'm struggling with is the oil coming (rapidly) out of the dip stick tube so the MOT gut can't put his temp probe in for the emissions

anybody any ideas of the cause

cheers

Worn rings
Blocked crankcase breather
Blocked oil pickup filter (drop sump to check)
Worse case scenario blown head gasket. (unlikely without other symptoms)

Too much oil in engine

unfortunatley i know its not the later as its only just been registering on teh dip stick,

don't suppose you could direct me to the crank case breather as i cant see one (this is what i'm hoping it is as I was told the engine was refurbed about 3yrs ago, that said its a different block to the original on the v5)

cheers
