TD5 thermostat

Hi all, We are thinking the thermostat on wifeys TD5 90 has stuck open, mainly cause it takes over 30 minutes of running/driving to get warm, I know its a tad chilly out there, but was chatting to another TD5 owner last night and he said his warms up considerably quicker than that,  So was wondering , Where is it located ( yes i know its inside the engine bay  :lol:  ) is it a easy job or not ?? if it was quite easy i would check/swap it over to see, if not will wait till it goes in for next service :)

I was looking at britparts heavy duty heater matrix .Doe's anyone know if this would make the heater better.
Sorry for hijacking your post,just got me thinking aswell as my td5 seems to take along time to warm up to.

It's a sort of 'inline' white plastic tube jobbie, bottom left of the rad when viewing the 90 from the front - a right pig to get at on a Disco, and you need to be able to undo those hose clips that need special pliers/tools to squeeze them (does that make sense ?). Fairly cheap to buy IIRC (the 'stat, not the hose clip pliers  :roll: )

The Td5 does take a while to warm up - about 10-15 minutes on a chilly morning.  It doesn't seem to noticeably warm up at all idling in traffic.
