Comfort problem!!!!
« on: December 16, 2007, 21:27:54 »
Heres one for you lot!!! about a year ago I had a major op on my spine which I recovered from well but left me nacked as far as lifting and stuff is concerned.I have a 90 with new Corbeau fixed back bucket seats in it and no matter what I do I cannot get comfy in it im six foot tall and I feel as though my knees are up round my chin,I cant put the seat any further back as it is up to the bulkhesd already!!! ive seen those mud rails and bulkhead removal bar kits but im loathe to spend £150 if they dont work,if I cant sort it the 90 will have to go and be peplaced with something non land rover which I will be totally <naughty> of to do!!!! any body got any suggestions or is anybody suffering with the same problem????

well bucket seats especially fixed backs are a very acquired taste comfort wise. i think ur best back is try a set of normal landrover seats and see if there better. i have a set for sale in grey vinyl these are comfy but i have replaced with some brand new standard seats.my truck is roll caged lifted and totally modded but i still choose standard seats.
hope this helps
thanks
mike

Im 6" 6 and have some bucket seats in my 90.

I find them much more comfortable than the normal 90 seats.

I suppose its down to taste.

Could try fitting rangie seats in?

If you get some leather ones with electric control, the positions are endless.

'scuse the pun!

For what it's worth....

The Mudstuff bits and pieces are excellent quality and make a difference to comfort!!!

If you wanted a drive up to Yorkshire I'm sure Stuart or Kev would let you have a sit their 90 with all the bits and pieces fitted!!

Just be glad you haven't got a truck cab 90... you get even less room!

u dont need mudrails, the rear lip on the seat box stops the seats going back, pack a spacer in under the rail and tthey will go back further, of course u will then it the rear bulkhead! so remove that,

How old is it?

Fancy swapping it for a Range Rover Classic

I've got some RRC seats if they would help.

I'm 6'2 and removed the bulkhead on my 90 and found it a lot more comfortable. The only downside was when you're sat back in your seat you have to lean forward to look out of the window.
