Good choice, but I would have to throw these into the frame as contenders for the best Christmas Song

Solstice Bells, Jethro Tull
Gaudete, Steeleye Span
December will be magic again, Kate Bush

However, any wailing recording by Westlife or the Spice Girls should be consigned to the depths of Hell fromwhence they came! A pox on them, I say!

A couple of others;

'Run Rudolph Run' Whilst I like the original Chuck Berry version, this Brian Setzer cover is cool (boy!, can he play that Gretsch?!)
Richard A Thackeray
Defender 110Td5 'Heritage Gone, but not forgotten
Jaguar XKR; X88 JLT, also 'gone, but not forgotten'

Yorkshire Born & Bred, and proud of it.

Lets see what the PC brigade make of the lyrics in this one!

Gaudete,Steeleye Span

gaudete, gaudete christus est natus
ex maria virginae, gaudete
gaudete, gaudete christus est natus
ex maria virginae, gaudete.

tempus ad est gratiae hoc quod optabamus,
carmina laetitae devote redamus.

gaudete, gaudete christus est natus
ex maria virginae, gaudete
gaudete, gaudete christus est natus
ex maria virginae, gaudete.

deus homo factus est naturam erante,
mundus renovatus est a christo regnante.

gaudete, gaudete christus est natus
ex maria virginae, gaudete
gaudete, gaudete christus est natus
ex maria virginae, gaudete.

ezecheelis porta clausa per transitor
unde lux est orta sallus invenitor

gaudete, gaudete christus est natus
ex maria virginae, gaudete
gaudete, gaudete christus est natus
ex maria virginae, gaudete.

ergo nostra contio psallat jam in lustro,
benedicat domino sallus regi nostro.

gaudete, gaudete christus est natus
ex maria virginae, gaudete
gaudete, gaudete christus est natus
ex maria virginae, gaudete.

Hah! Chew on that one, suckers!

Did someone say Ted Nugent....

Personally think its offensive to listen to Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade as it obviously has west midlands connections in the style of singing which discriminates against peruvian instrumental music.....

I think the fact that in the BBC poll "Should Fairytale of New York be censored?" just over 92% have voted against the suggestion should be a bit of a hint...

Anyone else heard/like the Hely-Hutchinson Carol Symphony? Odd one for me as I usually like '70/80s rock but it's a good one to play in the car while blasting along wintery roads.

I just despair at the willingness of these small-minded individuals who feel it their duty to further the progression of this damnable virus we term 'political corectness'.

Not only that but Kirsty MacColl was such a babe!
Cheers
