Is your car on google mapsv (satelite photos)
« on: December 26, 2007, 20:57:33 »
Ok, all the women are watching some chick flick so I have spent about 20 mins trying to find cars I have owned on Google maps.

Try your old houses, where you worked etc.  I couldnt find any but someone must be imortalised esp landrovers that have  been rusting/resting in fields.

PS Does anyone know if you can date the photos, some look earlier than other, maybe 1990-Current ???

Have fun.

They've finally taken some new photos of where I live, so I can actually see my motor for the first time

50°53'34.07"N, 1°26'28.58"W

Just to the, ummm, left and up a bit.....theres a 110 that belongs to Terrain Adventures too..

Google earth also has proof that I do actually do some work every now and then...

here

50°53'42.69"N, 1°25'5.74"W

Thats my raft, and I was driving that day....

It would seem that they've updated the Southampton area in the last 2 months....

Just noticed your talking google maps, and not google earth...oooops..

looked at mine

my old house must be from 1988 - 1992 as it has grass on the front garden and it got graveled around 1992 time (NN16 0LF)

and the current address has got my dads / mums disco out side the house and my series on the corner of the street so it is 2003 - 2005 (NN15 6HG)

I can just make out our house, SWMBO's Nissan Serena and my old fiesta so the shot is about 2-3 years old.

Cool, however I have gone through this site http://www.flashearth.com/

its free and give you a choice of map companies to choose from.

Warning, be carefull when posting the images and make sure no one can get any details of where you live.

It only takes a low life to see your details and any longitude and latitude on the pics or recgonise the area and your telling them you have a tricked up car outside for the taking, or they look on here find out through a comment you make when your out and then screw your house.

Very cynical I know but it could happen .

Miserable git I am
